1824 Great Meadows (NJ) Presbyterian. Originally known as the Danville Presbyterian church it was remodeled in 1863; at some point in the 20th century it became an Eastern Orthodox church complete with onion dome. But the Russians went elsewhere and the building is currently used a few times a week for senior activities.
1869 Centerville Methodist Episcopal, Readington NJ. Centerville was the midpoint on the old stagecoach route from Philadelphia to New York, and this church is just up the hill from the old stagecoach inn. As such, it became the mother church for several other congregations, but with the coming of the railroad (and the automobile) Centerville fell into decline, and the Methodists left in 1980. Now a community center.
1834 Weertsville New School (German) Baptist, East Amwell Twp NJ. In 1936 folklorist Henry Charlton Beck found the church serving as a chicken coop; sometime after that it became a residence, thence a store, now back to a residence. A small cemetery abuts to the rear.
