1844 Presbyterian Chapel, Little York NJ. This former outpost of the Alexandria First Presbyterians was built on the framework of their former (1802) church. Since 1976 it's been a residence.
1869 First Presbyterian, Asbury NJ. By 1985 the congregation dwindled away and sold this building; it's now a set of condominiuns. A largish graveyard sits at the end of the street.
1865 Mt Zion African Methodist Episcopal, Montgomery NJ. This plain wooden structure is easy to miss, even with the massive restoration sign out front. It was originally constructed as the Rock Hill church (in Zion), but by 1900 the quarries were closed, and the congregation packed up their bags, and their church, and resettled down the hill in Skillman... thus this building's cornerstone date of 1900. It now operates as a museum for one of New Jersey's oldest mixed-race communities.
